Wright to a Tee

As I started to unzip the large luggage case that everyone assumes that I’m travelling, but its my tool box of cameras and lenses, rain started to descend. Suddenly large groups of tourists that surrounded my vision a moment ago scattered to take cover. It was a start of  several tropical rains that blessed us with cool weather and clear perspective.

I started working with Kelly and her bridesmaids at The Fullerton Hotel to document their start of the day. Kelly was all radiant and her glow led to everybody excitement! I navigate my way shortly to The White Rabbit Restaurant where a fiery of activities made the whole scene captivating. The rain dictated twice  when we start and where the wedding was held! It is moments like this that you see your friends go all out to help you and make you feel real blessed to have them by your side.

The dinner was cosy and many stories were shared. Its was beautifully planned for and our team is so honoured to be part of their wedding celebrations alongside Lighthouse Studios! Hope you enjoyed this series!

50 Shades of Orange

I was naturally thrilled at the prospect of shooting in Capella’s Colonial Manor, with a  theme like 50 shades of Orange, cosy company, and working alongside with Substances Films & Sam Ong who helped Lois with her hair and makeup! Yann & Lois wedding party gave me a great excuse to go shopping for a orange shirt that was lacking in my otherwise bloated wardrobe. Yann & Lois are naturally awesome hosts that made everyone at ease, party hard and generous with their genuine warmth and candor.  I worked myself slightly earlier on the day of the wedding to get some images of swifts hovering around the main hall and gotten some interesting views before I started our coverage. Having a cosy party only mean that I would have more time to document the intimate moments and explore the manor better and swirled around the guests effortlessly to capture their joy and energy! The wedding was beautifully done up! Awesome gowns from the soon to be retired Tan Yoong, awesome planning from Lois’ friends meant lots of colour, fun and booze in no particular order. Yang, Zech, Zenn and the team from Substances Films work hand-in hand to ensure our coverage is creative, consistent and colourful! We started with the ragging session with very a bunch of eager groomsmen that are ready for everything putted up to them! they used up two brand new lip sticks between themselves, demanded more from the “suan tang gu la”, and expertly handled their hip swing / banana balancing skills  to knock balls off plastic cups! After a short break, the solemnization was commenced with guests filling at the patio of the manor and under the hot blazing sun, and beautiful surroundings. Everyone headed into shelter to avoid a tan and soon the guests were ready for the dinner and party to start! The manor was littered with blinking rings and waistbands, even the couple shoes lit . Plenty of guests had they fill with food, dancing and merry making. It was a great wedding to say the least and i left home immensely humbled to be able to gotten this wonderful assignment!

She loves unicorns, He just crazy over her!

Victoria is insanely passionate and that trait sterns from her family. They have one of the most closely knitted and fun loving family I have ever had the opportunity to work with. Yong is supremely devoted and yes, that trait also sterns from his family, no less. When you put these two lovebirds together, you have an over-pouring of dynamics that creates a whirlpool of expressions that transcends to this coverage.

Lots of details, from the ornate design of Victoria’s Gown from Silhouette The Atelier, intricate lace patterns hand stitch with gold beadings to her love of Unicorns & Bears that endowed in her room. She is driven by good aesthetics!

The family decorated the home to great effort and everyone was just greeted warmly by the interiors! Yong and his merry band of brothers were top notch in their display of chivalry and played each game of the ragging race with gusto!

the weather had taken a adverse turn when we arrived at Yong’s house but that never dampen the joyous occasion one tiny bit. They were still all smiles and that carried on throughout the night were we were treated to a Art Nouveau theme night with a riot of candy counter filled with vintage sweets and custom made “angpo” boxes from their favourite toys. Victoria wanted to match-in with a red giant balloon and Yong was all smiles with accommodating to her dream wedding.

Even though the wedding was held many months ago, the details are still fresh in my mind as I wrote this! Enjoy the coverage!

And a lovely testament to our work!

A true relationship is always the complimentary of two individuals.

” He always has my back, always looking out for me! I’m not the most organized person in the world but he is always there for me.” Leon is like a swiss pocket knife, always having a solution to each situation, always cool and has his head on the task at hand. He is also like a pocket, always has Carrie’s phone and other essentials with him.

In a short span of a day, I have enjoyed the dynamics of this lovely couple whom I have the pleasure of been acquainted  during Yong & Victoria’s wedding last year. Carrie is great host to us and make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed to ensure a great smooth day! Sam provided us so many moments to share and we were blessed to have the opportunity to showcase this wedding! The wedding started off from Carrie’s home, where we had the pleasure to document “Whisky” and “Mahjong”, two of Carrie’s loves, the former Carrie’s dog, not sure if its her favourite beverage. Each Jie Mei were task with a “suan, tian ku la” and the brothers had to complete multiple tasks before Leon could receive his bride! We headed to Tarmarind Hill for the wedding celebrations and were greeted with a cosy and cooling afternoon peppered with light rain and great company!

Ian & Jaslyn

3 Years ago, Ian & Jaslyn celebrated their wedding union in Capella and we are honoured to be part of capturing their special day! We came back today to celebrate another union! They are awaiting for their first newborn Isaac and back at where they tied their vows. We planned the shoot to the T, with props and capturing the good light in the hot summer that shines on us all year round. Enjoy the moments!
